The Rawdat School is a non-profit, non-governmental elementary school that welcomes children from kindergarten through the sixth grade. The curriculum is designed to promote creativity among children who daily endure the stresses of a military occupation and who may cross military checkpoints to attend school. It emphasizes drama, art, dance and French language classes.

Located in East Jerusalem, the school ‘s  principal, Salwa Zananiri, a Christian educator, sums up its philosophy as “a flower garden” for education that will raise up a generation that thinks creatively, analyzes critically and logically and excels in performance.

The school serves the lower income community so meeting tuition can be problematic, as well as providing adequate salaries for staff and teachers and maintaining the facility.
